Imagination Children’s Learning Centre, is a children focused local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered in Uganda with the National NGO Board, number S.5914/13013. The organization aims at rehabilitating, advocating for and empowering children with keen focus on those with special needs; preparing them for inclusive education. We mobilize resources, conduct research and economically empower children and their families for improved well-being. We envision being the leading provider of quality rehabilitation services to children with special needs.
Imagination Children’s Learning Centre serves all children who are most vulnerable and with such special needs as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, dyslexia, delayed developmental milestones, spina bifida and hydrocephalus, delayed speech and among others.
Our biggest challenge is working with the most vulnerable children from the needy households with meagre resources to support such children (parents often times abandon such children, starve them as they are regarded as a curse in family). For example, over 120 children have been assessed since June 2016 but only 33 enrolled as parents can hardly support. We wish to serve as many children as possible but resource constrained.
Imagination Children’s Learning Centre is therefore fundraiasing to support such children with special needs. We request for your partnership and support for at least a child in a boarding section at ICLC. Maintaining a special needs child at ICLC costs approximately USD 3,000 per annum (accommodation, feeding, caretaker, therapy sessions and therapy equipment). Other support could be material or advocacy
