This campaign is to help orphans and abandoned in the Malera village, Bukedea through an organization called HOPE FOR ABANDONED CHILDREN AND ORPHANS situated in Bukedea district in Eastern Uganda. The children are 30 in number and aged 0-15years. Their parents died and as they live in a very poor area there is nobody who feels responsible for their survival. If nothing is done this is what will happen: When they grow up, they will have health problems due to a lack of medical supply in their childhood. They will not get nor school education nor vocational training. As adults they will not be able to care for their children and so there will be another lost generation.

We ask you to help breaking this vicious circle. It is very easy, since In Eastern Uganda, every Euro makes a big difference:

1.With a donation of 90 Euros we can pay the school fees for one child for one year a government school.

2.With a donation of 30 Euros we can buy scholastic materials and uniforms for one child.

3.With a donation of 13 Euros one child does not have to walk barefoot any longer.

4.With a donation of 50 Euros we can get some posho (maize flour) for one child and 30 Euros we can get beans for one child enough to feed the child for one month to one and half months.

There is nobody else to support these children – So if you don`t they will be lost. We are grateful for every Cent and we urgently ask you to support this project. When money comes in you can be sure that it does not go neither into exaggerated administration structures nor into the pockets of somebody who tries to get rich by development aid.

When money comes in we will spend it very soon. After two weeks respectively we will publish on our campaign page what we have bought or what we will be buying soon with your donation.

ABOUT HOPE FOR ABANDONED CHILDREN AND ORPHANS

Hope for Abandoned Children and Orphans (HACO) is a grassroots Community Based Organization (CBO). The formation of HACO was out of deep aspiration by a group of young, committed and active orphans passionate about improving the standard of living of orphans and abandoned children in Bukedea District, Teso sub region and Uganda as a whole. The organization aims at responding to the plights/challenges of orphans and abandoned children through designing, co-creating, initiating and implementing innovative and problem solving ideas/projects. HACO further aims at supporting the integration, inclusion, involvement and empowerment of the underprivileged, vulnerable, underserved and disadvantaged orphans and abandoned children into the new development paradigm shift (development agenda) and give everyone a choice for access to - and utilization of available resources. The idea to form HACO is also attributed to the need to realize and achieve the 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) at community level, Vision 2040 and complement in achieving the second National Development Plan of Uganda (NDP 2, 2020).

Philosophy/theory of change: We hope that by empowering the orphans and abandoned children with the relevant practical skills and knowledge, we can build on their own capacities and enable them live a self-reliant life. We believe that when the most vulnerable groups of people especially orphans and abandoned children are involved, included and engaged in the development process, they can create lasting and sustainable change for their holistic empowerment and community development.
