Kabalagala, Makindye, Kampala Uganda
We are a compassion motivated organization to inspire the youth, women and children to having a desirable future, rebuilding the lives of homeless children and help widows have a life befitting of a human being and also contribute towards education, sensitization, mobilization and train community members for self-employment including helping vulnerable people and orphans, communities including talented athletic youth children and women through programs that enhance their African social values.
In 2018, a group of committed youth leaders who were concerned about the growing numbers of youth in the slums of Kabalagala like “Kataba” area involved in activities such as drug abuse, prostitution including the increasing number of children dropping out of school founded Heart of Gold for Africa (HOGA) as an organization to find solutions to their problems.
HOGA operates in Makindye division though we plan to advance the program to different parts of Kampala.
The headquarters and its training centers are established in Kabalagala central along Ggaba road in Kabalagala parish.
The youth, women and children are trained in various courses and they include Tailoring, Hair dressing, Computer and Shoe training.
We started with a small number of youth, women and children, since then numbers have been increasing and we have managed to mobilize 30 youth and 60 women groups in Makindye with a total number of 2600 members and 68 training students at our learning center.
Supporting youth, women and children helps unlock their opportunities.
HOGA’s commitment to rebuild the lives of youth, children and women in slums and empowering them to become productive in society is effective because of the financial sources such as intervention from individuals like you.
