Блискавка

Блискавка (Blyskavka) is a term derived from Ukrainian and translates to “lightning” in English. It refers to the natural electrical discharge that occurs during a thunderstorm, producing a bright flash of light. Lightning is typically accompanied by thunder, which is the sound produced by the rapid expansion of air heated by the discharge. The phenomenon can occur in various forms, including forked, sheet, or ball lightning, and is characterized by its brightness, speed, and unpredictability. In many cultures, including Ukrainian folklore, lightning often carries symbolic meanings and is associated with divine power or the fury of nature.
